Our Practice

Back Cove Midwives is a practice dedicated to women’s health. Our certified nurse midwives are Ellie Grillo, Jen Gilbert, Jerri Walker and Kristin Chapman. Each midwife works with both pregnant and non-pregnant patients and is focused on developing a relationship of caring and trust with each and every woman they see.

Should the need for consult arise during the course of your care the midwives turn to other a wide range of practitioners in the community. Our collaborative doctors for OB/GYN care are: Rebecca Whiteley MD, Lisa Parsons DO, Elizabeth Linnell, MD, and Kathryn Wadland, MD of All About Women. Most of our patients never meet these physicians but we feel fortunate to have them available 24/7 whenever the need arises.

In addition to the midwives, we have two medical assistants, Martha Tole and Sarah Holmquist, our receptionist, Cherie Meyer and our office manager, Debby McGinty.

Sarah is our part-time Medical Assistant. She has 25 years experience as an RN in maternity care. During the course of your care you’ll meet Sarah in the office during your appointments, for blood draws and when you call with questions over the phone.

 

Martha is our full-time Medical Assistant. Previous to working with us she served birthing women and families as a certified birth and postpartum doula and has been facilitating our Connections group for several years. You’ll meet Martha during many aspects of your care in the office.

 

 

 

Debby is our Office Manager. She is happy to answer all your insurance and billing questions, as well as to address any concerns you might have about office matters. Debby has a degree as a Medical Assistant and serves as a volunteer EMT in Cumberland.

 

 

 

Cherie has a degree as a Medical Assistant and is our friendly receptionist. She answers all our incoming calls and appointment scheduling. Make sure you check in with Cherie when you come for an appointment
