Jerri Walker, CNM, IBCLG

Jerri moved to Maine in 1997 from Georgia, where she grew up. She became an RN in 1981 after attending Georgia Baptist Hospital School of Nursing. Her next endeavor included becoming an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). While working at MidCoast Hospital, she developed and ran their Lactation Services program. She went on to receive her BSN from Graceland University through their distance learning program, which allowed her to continue to work and raise her family.

Jerri became a Certified Nurse Midwife, her long time dream, in 2010, graduating with a MSN from Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing, now known as Frontier University. In the summer of 2010, she was thrilled to begin working with Back Cove Midwives and assisting women and their families with birth at Mercy Hospital.

During her time away from work, Jerri enjoys knitting, reading and spending time with her family, which includes one very funny dog.
